To contribute to the prevention of aging and treatment of adult diseases and genetic diseases from the perspective of biochemistry, we conduct basic and applied research in biochemistry, train researchers, and carry out various projects while promoting international exchange, thereby contributing to the advancement of academic research in Japan.

公益財団法人応用生化学研究所は、学士院賞を受賞された故八木國夫名古屋大学名誉教授によって、1988年（昭和63年）5月に創設されて以来、長きに亘り、生活習慣病の予防と治療、アンチエイジングに関する医学、分子生物学的研究、及び国際交流事業などを行って参りました。

The Public Interest Incorporated Foundation, Applied Biochemistry Research Institute, was established in May 1988 by the late Professor Emeritus Kunio Yagi of Nagoya University, who received the Japan Academy Prize. Since then, we have long engaged in medical and molecular biological research on the prevention and treatment of lifestyle-related diseases and anti-aging, as well as international exchange activities.
